ARTISTS
Chie Kouda
Chie Koda was born in 1983 in Tokyo, and raised in Nagasaki. She graduated from Tama Art University in 2007. Through participation in long-stay programs, like those offered through artist-in-residence grants, Koda lives and works in new places for extended periods. Looking for alternative ways for people to enjoy art, she invites them to watch her paint so they can see how art evolves into finished pieces before going on exhibition. As a painter, she lives by observing daily life to create her artworks.
