ARTISTS
Kotaro Sekiguchi
Born 1983 in Maebashi, Gunma prefecture. While studying sculpture at Tama Art University, Sekiguchi recalled how his parents taught him to make crafts from discarded newspapers and packing tape, leading him to create large-scale artworks. In 2012, he received the Taro Okamoto Award for Contemporary Art in its 15th Edition. He was invited to exhibit at In BEPPU in 2019. To date, he has created and exhibited his work and led workshops throughout many parts of Japan.
