アートと六本木のまちを見つけよう！
海外からきた人や、いろいろな文化をもちながら日本に住んでいる人むけに、英語を使って作品を見るツアーをします。ツアーでは、六本木のまちを歩きながら、まちの中にある作品をみるとともに、このまちが生まれたときからのいろいろな歴史の話をしていきます。また、来た人たちのさまざまなお話もあつめて、いまいる六本木という場所とのつながりを見つけていきます。
時を追いかけるように、街をさまようように、いっしょに六本木の街をねり歩きましょう。
(Re-)discover Roppongi with art!
For visitors from overseas and residents of diverse cultures living in Japan, we present an English-guided tour of the event and the district. During the tour, participants will be introduced to the streets of Roppongi, viewing the artworks throughout the area and exploring the dynamic timeline of the city from its origins to this very day of Roppongi Art Night 2023. The tour will also aim to incorporate everyone’s backgrounds and episodes and find your own connections with Roppongi, the place we all will gather for this occasion.

●スケジュール：17:00 六本木ヒルズ ルイーズ・ブルジョワ《ママン》（巨大クモの彫刻）下 集合、18:30 解散
●対象：英語でお話できる方（海外からお越しの方や日本にお住まいの異なる文化の方）

●Tour 1: Saturday, May 27 from 5 pm to 6:30 pm
●Meet at 5 pm at “Maman by Louise Bourgeois” (the giant spider sculpture) at Roppongi Hills; Tour ends at 6:30 pm
●Participants should be willing to chat in English.
●Maximum number of participants per tour: 15 (Reservation required)

●Tour 3: Sunday, May 28 from 3 pm to 4:30 pm
●Meet at 3 pm at “Maman by Louise Bourgeois” (the giant spider sculpture) at Roppongi Hills: Tour ends at 16:30 pm

※5月27日・28日ともに、ガイドツアーは主に同じ内容です。
※基本的なコミュニケーションは英語を使用します。国籍、英語レベルは問いません。
※ディスカッションも含め、すべて屋外での実施となります。
雨天時は、集合時間・場所は変更なく、ディスカッションのみ、屋内で行います。
*The contents of all tours, for both dates, will basically be the same.
*This tour will be held in English; we welcome anyone regardless of nationality or English language level.
*All parts of this event will be held outdoors.
In rainy weather, the meeting place and time will not change, and the discussion part of the tour will be moved indoors.

企画協力 / Planning cooperation
田中ジョン直人
東京出身、米国カリフォルニア大学デービス校で国際農業開発学と美術史を学んだ後、都内で大手メーカー勤務を経て、東京芸術大学大学院GAP専攻修了。現在は同大の取手キャンパスを筆頭に、個人史・地域史とマクロな社会史・人類史の接続点へ、リサーチ、発表や展示、そしてアーカイブで迫ってきた。六本木には2005年から通い続け、駅を出てすぐにあったウェンディーズ(現在は向かい側に移転)が特に好きだった。
Naoto John Tanaka
Born in Tokyo, John graduated from the University of California, Davis with a BA in Art History and BS in International Agricultural Development, and worked at a multinational in Tokyo before enrolling in the GAP program (MFA) at the Tokyo University of the Arts (TUA), where he has continued to conduct research on its Toride campus, aiming to elucidate the interplay between personal/local histories and the overarching socio-historical contexts through research, communication, exhibitions, and archival work. John has frequented Roppongi since 2005, and was a regular at the Wendy’s back when it was just outside the subway exit (now relocated).
