We are pleased to announce the launch of “Hirayama Productions”. The members are painter Ryo and sculptor Takumi. With the theme of their brotherly relationship, Takumi has created clay sculptures of Ryo’s painted worlds, while Ryo has continued to paint with even more passion based on his experience in the moment. This project takes form as a collection of works inspired by the layering of communications between the two artists. It is also an experiment in shaking up various relationships – whether between siblings, disabled and able-bodied people, or artworks and their placements. When Ryo stated, “I want to create Hirayama Productions,” Takumi nodded slowly.

Ryo Hirayama
Born in Tokyo in 1992, Ryo Hirayama works at Toranomon Hospital as a member of the catering staff. Since his childhood, when he used to make something new every day, he has loved creating various objects out of clay and drawing pictures. Even now, he spends much of his time outside of work pursuing his creative activities.
Takumi Hirayama
Born in 1994, Takumi Hirayama works mainly with clay objects and installations. He values the making of things and the chance to connect with others, as well as the communication that transcends language in such moments.
