It has been 10 years since the legendary “Carry In Project” at the 2014 Roppongi Art Night. The performance group Akumanoshirushi will return to Roppongi with a work in which they deliberately design and carry into the building objects that seem barely able to fit. While the leader of the company, Noriyuki Kiguchi, passed away in 2017, his philosophy of “anyone can do it!” has enabled the project to continue in creation and development independently by various third parties. This time, with the themes of “Thinking for oneself,” “Making on the spot,” and “Everyone carrying together,” we will attempt to bring in objects together with the guests who come to the exhibition. Those who want to design the object, carry it, or watch it, come and join us!

Akumanoshirushi
Formed in 2008 by director Noriyuki Kiguchi (1975 – 2017), this company has presented a series of works focusing on theatrical pieces and performances that incorporate improvisational elements. Since its premiere, Carry In Project has been performed in 20 locations across 8 countries. Since the death of Kiguchi, the group has been led by architect Takuma Ishikawa, designer Yasuo Miyamura, producer Kaoru Kanamori, along with other supporters, who have opened up the Carry In Project and continue to support it alongside their own activities.
