Goang-Ming Yuan, one of the most prominent video artists in Taiwan’s contemporary art world, will present “Everyday War” (2024) for the first time in Asia, a video work that attracted much attention when it was premiered at the Taiwan Pavilion of the Venice Biennale this year.
Seen in a mundane room where a young person lives, are explosions and flames after something, although not visible, breaks in. It also looks as though entirety of the room got attacked, destroyed and left in ruins as a result of war breaking out. The work deals with various things that threaten human lives today and the dailiness of them.
