This nostalgic Japanese toy no longer feels familiar. Walk with it in your hands, and it will spin in the gentle breeze. Take it with you to all sorts of place and feel the different winds. We will hold a workshop on making pinwheels from washi (Japanese paper).

Takakuni Kawahara
Born in 1981 in Toyama, Japan, he studied under Torakichi Yoneoka, master of Birudan washi, and is its sole successor. He has exhibited both in Japan and internationally, including participation in Japonism 2018 at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in the Louvre Palace, Paris. He is currently responsible for the entrance art at the VIP Pavilion of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai.
