In his “Sailing Castle” series, artist Cheng Tsung Feng imagines the city—as shaped by clusters of buildings—as ships gathering at sea. Through large-scale wooden installations, he unites the outlines and spirit of Roppongi’s architecture into a single form. When sails from different eras meet, they speak of both setting out and coming home. Let us step aboard, raise the sails, feel the wind, and head to sea. We are ready to depart. We are ready to return.
