Detail
Libido is a work composed of industrial warning lights that undergoes a remarkable transformation depending on the viewer’s perspective. When viewed from directly in front or behind, the lights reveal the image of a pair of red lips, symbolizing physical allure. Moving to the side causes the lights to overlap and blend, shifting into the shape of a heart—an expression of emotional longing. Viewed from other angles, the form dissolves, transforming into a mysterious, energetic cloud of crimson stardust. Each individual light functions as an instinctive danger signal buried deep in our subconscious. Yet, does this sense of danger serve to hold us back? Or does it, paradoxically, ignite an even greater desire? Through these shifting visual forms, Libido poses a poignant question: whether driven by physical craving or emotional yearning, does confronting the deepest layers of our own perception inevitably entail an inherent sense of unease and risk?
