POLOSSEUM is a made-up word that combines “Pole” and “Colosseum”. It is a circus performance with audience participation. As a performer and audiences go through a series of processes to achieve the simple goal of erecting a pole. The performance is created together with the audience, and the process itself is important – the human relationships and cooperation that occur along the way, as well as the moments of struggle and failure. It is truly a microcosm of life.
