Detail
ShugoArts will present first solo exhibition of sculptor Kan Yasuda at its Roppongi gallery.
Yasuda moved to Italy in 1970 and has continued to create sculptures in marble and bronze from his base in Pietrasanta, northern Italy. Renowned for forms that possess a powerful sense of mass while appearing free from the pull of gravity, his work has been exhibited internationally and installed in numerous public spaces around the world. In 2025, he received the Isamu Noguchi Award, and in 2026, “Kan Yasuda – ISOLE DEL SILENZIO,” organized by the Wilmotte Foundation, is being presented as an Official Collateral Event of the 61st International Art Exhibition of the Venice Biennale, reflecting his continued international acclaim.
This exhibition will feature major marble and bronze sculptures, including new works.
