Detail
On Halloween night, a single beam of light extends from the TV station to Mohri Garden. This building, which has continuously delivered the presence of unseen people, becomes a lighthouse tonight, directing its light toward the city. The lighting equipment used is the same that has illuminated the moments of many artists on music shows. However, tonight, no people are illuminated. The light touches a mechanical hand that harbors the memories of a puppeteer. The hand receives the light, divides it, sways it, and scatters it. Echoing this is the hustle and bustle of Roppongi, heard by an AI and belonging to no one. Even though no one is physically there, recorded and automated human traces are repeated. Yet, will a sense of presence emerge once again?
