Detail
This series of works features underwater landscapes created through chemical activation within glass tanks, resembling small, sealed worlds cut off from our own. To craft these worlds—formed by minerals immersed in aqueous solutions—the artist skillfully employs a wide range of ingredients to achieve the desired colors and shapes. For this presentation, the Japanese artist atnr joins the project to collaborate in real-time on the music while the artwork is created live.

Hicham Berrada
Born in Casablanca in 1986, he is now based in Paris and Roubaix, France. Incorporating a scientific approach, Berrada’s work fuses intuition with knowledge, and science with poetry. He held a solo exhibition at the Mennour gallery in 2023, and in 2024, his solo exhibition Aléas (Chance) was presented at the Municipal Gallery of Sindelfingen, Germany. Berrada has also been nominated for the Marcel Duchamp Prize in 2020.
atnr
A Tokyo-based musician who performs sound pieces combining field recordings, electronic sounds, and instrumental tones in response to the performances of Hicham Berrada. By generating sound in real-time while reacting to shifting visuals and the atmosphere of the space, the artist explores the interplay between the visual and the auditory, as well as the evolving sense of time that emerges in each passing moment.
