IIMEN Masako
Japan's leading exponent of sand art (sand animation and sand performance). Born in Tokyo. Graduated from Visual Communication Design Dept. of Musashino Art University.
KANDA Saori[ SAORI‘An ]
Live-painting artist and dancing painter who brings tremendous energy to everything she does, responding with her whole body to the situations and people she encounters. She senses waves of sound with her whole body, tracing them as if dancing on a large canvas, becoming a physical part of the painting. Her approach fascinates people in many fields worldwide.
KINETIC ART( Dolton & Assassin & Nao)
Artistic and futuristic bboy dance crew comprising two men and one woman. Created the world's first Puzzle Ring Dance, in which the dancers' bodies are strangely intertwined. Associated with Chojinpro, a production firm specializing in out-of-the-ordinary performers.
MASAKI
Masaki is revered in the world of juggling, and has a sparkling record including wins at international festivals. His world-leading technique and the way that his crystal ball seems to just float in mid-air unhindered by gravity is a must-see. Associated with Chojinpro, a production firm specializing in performance production.
KOBAYASHI Kaori
Sax player, currently very big in Asia, hitting No.1 in the Taiwan Jazz charts and No.12 in the overall charts. One of her live videos has close to 5 million hits on YouTube.
NAGAO Kagetomo
Guitarist with a great interest in the form of music originating in Asia, working through sessions with performers of traditional Japanese musical instruments such as shinobue flutes, wadaiko drums, and shamisens.
NAKAJIMA Nobuyuki
Musician. Created the music for movie "The Fallen Angel," and has released three albums. Musical director for Jane Birkin World Tour. Due to release 4th album in spring 2012.
NISHIJIMA Kazuhiro
Involved in many different video projects, principally related to ballet. Portraying a unique world through a wonderful artistic style, his work is extending into other creative fields.
notroboboy(ICHIKAWA Takeshi)
After graduating from the Berklee College of Music in Boston, worked as a musician, and also doing design work for MTV in the States. After returning to Japan he creating a large variety of works, including a commercial that received an award at the Cannes Lions.www.freiheit.jp

HIRATA Sou
Uses original video as material for work in a variety of formats, including performance, installation, live shows, and music videos. His expressive range is growing, and his work is noted for its fantastical, mysterious perspective on the world that he creates.
mjuc (TAKAHAI Hideaki)
Graduated from the Department of Composition at Tokyo University of the Arts, followed by an MA from the same university. In addition to "mjuc," works under the names "deepframe" and "natureblunt." The culmination of artist’s search for a form that transcends both decoration and vessels, this artwork unites several types of vessels with the “town” as a decorative motif.

MASUMOTO Keiko (Artist)
Born in Hyogo, Japan in 1982. Graduated from Graduate Program of Kyoto City University of Arts (Department of Crafts, Ceramics). Her originality in the art of ceramics blurs the border between decorations and containers. Bringing a breath of fresh innovation to the world of ceramics, her works recently have been exhibited in solo shows at INAX gallery and the Hyogo Prefectural Museum of Art.

Made from the feathers of ducks and crows, an ultrasensitive air movement detector. As it attempts to find the direction of the breeze, it appears to be completely at the mercy of the winds. Just the breeze from the turn of your head will reverse its direction.

KOMATSU Kosei (Artist)
Born in Tokushima Prefecture in 1981. Graduated the Graduate School Program of Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music. Through his creation of devices controlled by natural phenomena, he continues to produce spatial expressions rich in poetry. In recent years, his works have focused on the beauty of the evolution, structure and very existence of birds.

FUTOYU Masaharu《The worker in Tokyo Midtown》

A worker is temporarily hired to set up the artwork, and the worker himself sets up a table and there he stays – he is both part of the work and in charge of providing explanations. Upon request from the audience, he will explain the work. The piece is completed when the worker takes the table and leaves.

FUTOYU Masaharu (Artist)
As an artist, Futoyu explores the whole concept of human expression in the context of public space. Notable works include a series features a portrait of artist himself printed on a bank note. His works have appeared in many exhibitions including “Koganecho Bazaar”, and “No Man’s Land”.

Light is spread on a screen, and it gets mixed together, and become a stainlike image. Then it transcend the screen, losing form and seemingly penetrating space and bodies.

FUJII Hidemasa (Artist)
Born in Nara Prefecture in 1984. Graduated from Kyoto University of Art and Design, M.A. Fine Arts. By using LED and polarizing plays to achieve the visualization and materialization of “light” – the medium of visual perception, his experimental works attempt to transform “light” itself into recognizable form.

At first glance the works of Ayumi Fukumoto, seem to have a real world purpose, but in actuality, they are faux items without function. Fukumoto has won a reputation for her unique installations that feature her fake productions.

Their presence adds a unique quality of freshness to an otherwise ordinary setting.

A springscape of cherry trees. We wonder if that cherry tree in that town that we have fostered in the purity of our heart will blossom again this year. “Junjo no komichi” is a heartscape for everyone. Please throw a petal into this scene.

Using the “floor Plan” of housing property advertisement, she expresses concepts of “inside, outside” and “existence”. Her works have appeared in many exhibitions including “VOCA Exhibition 2011”.

When we pass through the Toei Oedo Line ticket gate and enter Tokyo Midtown, we encounter water flowing into the surface of a wall. At least that was our impression. But there is no flow of water, and no sign that people seem to notice or care. The point is the degree to which people even question whether there is water flowing or not. It is the expression of a fragment of a scene that seems to disappear from our consciousness, just as the artwork does.

The streamlined form of four glass sculptures. The long silence is broken and we witness the moment as they embark on a journey from here to an alien dimension of space.

MASAAKI Yonemoto (Glass Artist)
Born in Yamaguchi Prefecture in 1987. Graduated from Kurashiki University of Science and The Arts (Department of Design) and from Toyama City Institute of Glass Art. His works focus on using glass as a motif, and have won recognition for their sculptural impact and technical strengths, winning various awards including the Contemporary Glass Triennial in Toyama.

Deep black armor is painted white, and as a consequence, time-honored Japanese tradition and history disappear, closing the distance between the artist of the present and this artifact of the past.

She was born in Aichi Prefecture in 1973. Graduated from the Graduate School of Tokyo Gakugei University (Art Education Department). Active as a metal craft artisan, Kuri is also is an excellent artist, winning many prizes including selection as the Grand Prix Runner-up of the 10th SICF.
